Anne
Concemi celebrated her 90th birthday
with Holy Family Hospital at the Care
For Cancer Walk on September 23, 2007.
Concemi, who lives just down the street from the hospital in Methuen, Mass., has been a hospital volunteer for some 50 years and is very much a member of our extended family. |
In caring for our patients and their families, our Holy Family staff is supported by a core of invaluable volunteers. They are found at reception desks, in our gift shop, and assisting patients, consistently demonstrating our core values of compassion, accountability, respect, and excellence. Volunteering at Holy Family not only helps our patients and our staff, it can help you to feel the satisfaction of knowing you have given of yourself.
Volunteers usually perform four or more hours of service per week, with a minimum commitment of 100 hours. Morning, afternoon, or evening timeslots are available in many hospital departments and units. Our volunteer coordinator can work with you to find the best match to your skills and schedule.
Holy Family volunteers receive free parking, a complimentary lunch during their shift, inclusion in hospital-sponsored events and employee discount programs, and recognition at our annual volunteer recognition dinner. In addition, student volunteers with over 200 hours of service are eligible to compete for a scholarship funded by the hospital’s Auxillary.
While volunteering at Holy Family, students can explore potential health care careers or fulfill school service requirements. Retirees can share their valuable skills with our community. For any volunteer, there is always the knowledge that they have made a difference in someone’s life.
