Ergonomics and Injury Prevention Educational Programs

Good Samaritan Occupational Health Services' office ergonomics program educates employees about how injuries occur, steps to prevent injuries, proper set up of their workstation and exercises to promote health and increased productivity.

Our preventing repetitive strain injuries program is oriented toward manufacturing employees that perform repetitive tasks. Education in this program also addresses how the injuries occur and specific steps that can be take to reduce injury risk. Emphasis on regular stretch breaks and appropriate exercises are included.

The back injury prevention program focuses on job tasks that involve heavy or frequent lifting. Detailed information on proper lifting techniques is covered as well as actual practice time of proper lifting techniques

Each of these programs can accommodate up to 20 employees or can be geared towards supervisor training programs. These are taught by our director of integrated rehabilitation, Steve Cox, DPT, MS, OCS. For additional information, call 508-427-3910
